Performance in the smallest space
Extremely robust positioning axis WKVZ for flexible mounting possibilitie.
Luhden – The toothed belt axis WKVZ is a new addition to Bahr Modultechnik’s comprehensive portfolio of positioning systems – an extremely robust and high-performing solution with ball bushing or slide bushing guides, which can be installed very flexibly in various mounting positions. To allow for variable integration options, the highly-tensile bearing pieces of the WKVZ axis, which are cut from one piece, are provided with large-dimensioned M5 thread holes on all sides.
Both bearing pieces offer the possibility to combine motors of any make, from either end by means of pivots or couplings. The carriage, which has also been cut from one piece and offers a high loading capacity, is guided by sealed linear ball bearings on two shafts with 16 mm in diameter and thus achieves a very high positioning accuracy. The WGVZ variant is provided with sliding guides. Optionally, the units can be provided with two carriages, which can be driven in the same direction or in opposite directions – e. g. for tensioning devices. The carriage(s) is/are moved by means of a revolving vertical HTD timing belt with reinforcing steel mesh, ensuring that there is nearly no backlash when changing direction and offering a repeatability of ± 0.1 mm. In addition, the axis is characterised by its space-saving dimensions (41 mm high, 80 mm wide) as well as its open arrangement, which ensures that no dirt can accumulate in the interior parts. The length of the axis is freely choosable between 232 and 2000 mm. Since all components are accessible without complex demounting, worldwide service is possible even with untrained personnel.
